"Don’t worry if someone tells you there’s one way to success.
Be your own person and go on your journey your own way!"
Hey guys! Are adults, peers, friends, siblings, relatives, etc. telling you to follow "expert" advice in order to get successful? Do they say things like "You have to go to college because we did!" or "Join this community because it's the only way you'll get your work out there!"? Yeah, been there done that. Based on that topic here's a little Catsona Advice Comic for you!
There's no right path to success. Sure some of your heroes might have gone to college or shared their work online, but that doesn't mean you have to. Everyone has their own journey to fulfill on their own path. For example, I never went to college because I knew it wasn't right for me.
If you’re that small fish in the big pond trying to find its way into the current of life, you might find something useful from this advice.
When I was growing up college was considered the Holy Grail of success by my relatives. Each one of them went to a university, aspired for their dreams, but when they graduated they were conformed to what was “normal” in society. Now before I get into this know that I’m not against school or education. Every aspect of an education is important, but I believe every mind learns differently and every form of education should be considered legitimate.
What I’m against is the forceful, negative nature of people who say, “You’re going to be a failure and get no where in life if you don’t attend college.”
This sparks several questions:
Everyone should be given the option to make life choices, and if your choice is to not attend a college and find your own form of education, so be it.
